Artist's Statement
My art emerges from a deep need to navigate and make sense of a world that often feels overwhelming and chaotic. As someone who experiences neurodivergence, I find myself constantly seeking ways to connect with the world on my own terms—through sensations, emotions, and intuitions that often elude me in everyday life. My work is a bridge between these inner experiences and the external world, inviting others to step into a reality where every sound, emotion, and vibration can be profoundly felt and understood.
I am drawn to extremes and contrasts, both in the materials I use and the colors I choose. My work is a reflection of the way I experience the world: sometimes vivid and intense, other times muted and subtle. I work with mixed media, employing fluid paints, collage, vinyl paint, and oils, embracing the unpredictable nature of these mediums. The process is highly experimental, mirroring the non-linear and often fragmented way I process information and emotions. My compositions feature energetic, intuitive brushstrokes that, despite their spontaneity, seek to find order and harmony within structured systems.
Creating art is my way of listening to the world—a world that often feels too fast, too loud, too much. In my studio, I can slow down and focus on the nuances of every sensation, building a space where I can explore the full spectrum of my experiences. The contrasts in my work—the interplay between bold, vivid colors and softer, natural tones—mirror the fluctuations in my own sensory world, where extremes often coexist and collide.
Through my art, I aim to create an environment where others can also experience this depth of feeling. I want to invite viewers to expand their minds, to explore new emotional landscapes, and to find a sense of harmony in the midst of chaos. My work is not just an expression of my internal world; it’s an invitation for others to discover new ways of seeing, feeling, and connecting with their own emotions in a more profound way.
